Adventures w/ Ian
All but one shot of me were taken by Ian McLeod Hardy, all others I took. Really this post is me cramming in the remainder of a certain section of photos. Right now happens to be the Athens, AL folders.
Grit & grate
More from the McLeod sanctuary in Athens. These were taken during a time when Ian & I were working out the plot to a short story. It's amazing what simple things surrounding you at any time can make such beautiful images.

The warmth of heat
I do a good deal of moving around, & while in Athens I was sleeping on a friend's couch. A sanctuary w/in a meth head ridden town. He has an old school floor heater where the heat coils just have a series of bars in front, so it turned the room a faint orange as I was sleeping.
A walk around Athens, AL
This building was a hospital during the Civil War. Now it is an apartment building just outside of the center of town in the midst of the historical district-ish. My father had at one point lived upstairs in what was the children's ward. When I was about 11 a friend of mine's grandmother lived downstairs in what was the morgue, interesting opposition related locations.
The two above flower photos were taken at twilight & were barely touched in editing due to the amazing natural light effect. At that hour flowers just seem to glow.
Above 4 photos were taken during a very odd adventure I had in a muddy trailer park on the West side of town. Not something I care to go into in detail. Let's just say I don't agree w/ the conduct & attitudes of the majority of the locals in Athens.

Testing
Simple test post. I'm revamping an old photo journal.
This is a silly photo I took of myself shortly after I returned to AL from CO.
